Frequently Asked Questions
What are the requirements?
You will need a computer, high speed internet, unlimited phone calling plan and be fluent in English. We also require that you are 18+ years old and have a US mailing address. You must be authorized to work in the United States and have a bank account in your name for your payment.
Go to topHow much can I make?
Shoppers are paid by the task and prices they gather. These tasks range from $.30 to $1.90 and are based on the complexity of the request. It is not uncommon for our shoppers to make $50-$100 per day. It depends on several things including the amount of time you are willing to put into this opportunity, your efficiency with every phone call, and the timeliness of your response once you have received your assignment. The better shoppers make more money.
Go to topHow much do I have to work?
We are looking for people who want to work at least 20 hours a week. From our past experience we find it takes as much time to train an individual that works 5 hours a week as it does to train an individual that works 40 hours a week. The more you shop the better you get at it, and the more money you'll make. People that want to work a minimum of 20 hours a week tells us they are serious about this business.
Go to topDo you train me?
Yes, we not only train you on how to do this most efficiently, but a particular project need or request may require extra coaching. If future assignments require more in-depth knowledge, there might be additional training and testing needed to meet our objectives.
Go to topHow much work can I get in a week?
You can have as much work as you want. Our system enables you to select tasks from the system as you accurately, and in a timely fashon, complete the previous assignment. As long as we have an available assignment, you can work as much as you like.
Go to topWhat type of schedule do I have to keep?
Your schedule is up to you. If you can only work from 8am to noon, that is fine. If you want to work weekends or evenings you can do that too. The only stipulation is that the business you are calling must be open so you can get the data for your assignment. We also know things come up from time to time. All we ask is that you enter your availability in the system each week. That way, if you are taking a vacation or have a hectic first week back to school with your children, we can make sure we find someone to collect the data that is due that week.
Go to topWhy do I have to let you know that I am going to be on vacation?
Like many businesses, our projects have due dates. If you are an InteliChek shopper, we are counting on you to complete a certain number of tasks per week. We have an easy to use calendar for this purpose, that your immediate producer accesses to plan each week's project completion dates.
Go to topWhat is a Producer?
A producer is a person that at one time was a shopper and has now been promoted to managing specific jobs. A producer will review the tasks you complete, overseeing your accuracy and timeliness. Your producer is your mentor, but is also responsible for making sure all projects stay on schedule.
Go to topCan I become a Producer?
Yes you can. It is not a quick or easy route to becoming a producer, but all of our producers were great shoppers at one time. It takes dedication and performance efficiencies to be recognized for consideration, but as our needs require, you could become a producer.
Go to topCan I make this my full-time job?
We can not promise you a certain amount of work every week. As long as we have assignments to be shopped and you have the desire to work, you can work as much as you like? We find that most shoppers do this to supplement their family's income, because there can be quiet periods when we we don't have many data collection needs.
Go to topDo you take taxes out of my pay?
You are an independent contractor, who works whenever you want, where ever you want. You are a contract employee and will receive a 1099 in January, after the end of the calendar year, if you make over $600 that year. Please consult your accountant with any questions you may have regarding this.
Go to topWhen can I start?
You can start as soon as you are approved by your producer. First you will fill out several forms, and after an acceptable telephone interview, you will be asked to shop a "test" assignment. Once your producer approves the results of the test, you can begin.
Go to topDoes everyone that applies get an opportunity?
This type of work is not for everyone. Depending on your application, telephone interview, and shopping "test", we will determine whether you are a good fit for this opportunity.
